Strings
I recomend Elixir strings for electric guitar. I would also recommend using .010 to .046 guage strings for student's. A lot of new guitars are shipped with .009 to .042 which are too thin, they're loose and they don't sound great. I use Elixir Heavy Nanoweb .012 - 0.52.
